Anyone who lives south knows that holiday season is a lil bit different. Starting with Halloween. With trick-or-treating being outlawed down here (true story) – the kids do trunk or treat (that’s a whole nother story). Halloween + Florida = a crazy shitshow!
Around here there was a fun Halloween parade down Main St, the kids came out in force at 4pm and trick-or-treated their lil hearts out through all the shops.
Then somewhere around 6 and sunset, the “big kids” took over and filled up the bars and restaurants just in time for happy hour.
Drunk, fully-costumed, happy-houring, Halloweening adults – now that’s a freakshow down in Florida – but a very fun one! I had a couple beers with some ghostbusters, scooby-do and a couple of BArbies (obviously).
