STP aka the Stone Temple Pilots are a grunge and alt Rock band out of San Diego, California. The bands line-up was unchanged for the first 25 years with Scott Weiland as the lead singer until his well-publicised battles with drug addiction caused a tragic parting of ways. Weiland joined Velvet Revolver before his tragic passing. In 2016, STP launched an online audition for a new lead vocalist and announced Jeff Gutt as the new lead singer of the band.
