We’re safe and dry, thanks for asking, but let me tell you—when Florida shuts down Waffle House, you know things are serious.
Lucky we left last weekend—traffic’s a nightmare now.
These hurricanes in 2 weeks: Helene washed us (before wiping North Carolina), Isaac, Joyce and Kirk veered off, and now Milton’s a’comin!
This storm went from tropical to Cat 5 in under 24 hours!
Everyone is evacuating now and some weathermen are crying on TV. The prez and governor agree on something (that this is bad). We are holed up at a buddies place, but this feels like the Twilight Zone right now!
