40 Shows to Celebrate 40 Years

If you lived through that era, you know the drill: big power ballads, crazy hair, and just a whole lot of rock ‘n’ roll fun. Their debut album Look What the Cat Dragged In dropped in 1986, and now we’re staring down its 40th anniversary in 2026. I know, right? Makes your bones feel a little creaky thinking about it. But hey, according to drummer Rikki Rockett, Poison isn’t just gonna sit back and reminisce about the good ol’ days – they’re gearing up to celebrate in a big way. So yes, you will need to dust off your Poison tour t-shirts…

Rikki Rockett recently chatted with Eddie Trunk on SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation, spilling the beans on the band’s plans for 2026. So, what’s in store? Well, Rockett confirmed they’re aiming to do at least 40 shows that year, possibly more, depending on how it all shakes out. And if the stars align and they find the right band to tour with, they might package the whole thing up. But if that doesn’t work out? No problem. Poison’s ready to headline it themselves and do it right. If you ask Bret Michaels, he’ll tell you, “If you can’t do it right, do it anyway,” and trust me, they’ll be doing it right.

Now, there were a lot of questions after their big 2022 stadium tour about what the future looked like for Poison, especially with Bret Michaels doing his solo thing. But Michaels cleared that up during a September interview, confirming that the band’s all-original lineup will be on board for 2026. Yeah, it’ll take some planning, but Poison’s still a tight-knit crew. And as Bret said, there’s no gray area—sometimes they get into a fistfight, but the next day, they’re back at it like brothers. That’s the Poison spirit, and it’s clear they’re ready to make 2026 a massive celebration. And you gotta be ready, rockin your latest Poison concert t-shirts at the next gig – people will know you’re a rock veteran.

So, buckle up! Poison’s bringing the party back in 2026, and you won’t want to miss it. If you were around for the ’80s, you already know – there’s nothing like a Poison show to remind you what rock ‘n’ roll is all about. Let’s go!
