And yet somehow, it still holds up.

The fact that it’s secretly Jane Austen with mall credit.
But what happened to the crew who made it iconic?
Let’s check in:
Cher was everyone’s dream best friend/matchmaker/shopaholic queen — and Alicia owned it.
After Clueless, she became Batgirl (RIP that movie), starred in a few rom-coms, then kinda disappeared.
But she’s back.
Doing indie films, raising her kid on a plant-based diet, and climbing out of windows in TikToks like it’s 1995.
Cher would totally approve.
Let’s not sugarcoat this:
Josh aged like a vampire in a skincare commercial.
Paul Rudd never went away. He just got more powerful.
Friends, Anchorman, Role Models, Ant-Man, Avengers, Sexiest Man Alive.
The man is unstoppable.
And yeah — he still looks exactly the same.
Josh probably moisturizes.
Dionne was iconic. The hats alone deserve their own IMDb page.
Stacey Dash kept acting a bit, but made bigger waves getting political in ways that… let’s just say Cher probably wouldn’t have co-signed.
She’s since stepped away from the spotlight (and politics), but her place in fashion history? Untouchable.
Okay, deep breath.
This one still hurts.
Brittany Murphy was Tai. She brought the awkward charm, the “rollin’ with the homies” heart, and a whole lotta soul.
After Clueless, she lit up every screen she touched — 8 Mile, Girl, Interrupted, Uptown Girls — before passing away tragically in 2009.
Gone too soon. Never forgotten.
Murray was Dionne’s goofy, head-shaving, hilarious boyfriend — and Donald took that charisma straight to Scrubs and made TV history.
He’s still working, still funny, still tight with Zach Braff, and probably still explaining why he shaved his head in the backseat of a Jeep.
The original frenemy with the best one-word comebacks (“Whatever.”).
Elisa kept acting — Sabrina the Teenage Witch, a bunch of Hallmark stuff — and now she’s a writer and life coach.
Amber, evolved.
The lovable stoner with the skateboard and surprisingly deep soul.
Breckin kept the vibe going with Road Trip, Can’t Hardly Wait, Robot Chicken, and a ton of voice work.
He’s still around — and probably still has a Marvin the Martian T-shirt somewhere.
The cast of Clueless may have gone in different directions, but the movie?
Still timeless.
Still quotable.
Still way smarter than people give it credit for.
So next time someone says Clueless was just a silly teen flick?
