Carrie White, a shy, friendless 16 year-old girl who is sheltered by her domineering, religious mother, unleashes her telekinetic powers after being bullied by her classmates at her senior prom. The film has influenced popular culture with many publications regarding it as one of the greatest horror films ever made. It’s also the first Stephen King novel (of over 100) that has been turned into a movie. Honestly, if you wore a vintage style Carrie t-shirt to the prom with her maybe she wouldn’t have been so scary!
