National Lampoon‘s Animal House is a 1978 American college comedy film starring John Belushi as life-of-the-party John “Bluto” Blutarsky. The film is about a misfit group of fraternity members (led by Belushi) who challenge the authority of the dean of Faber College. The United States Library of Congress deemed Animal House “culturally significant” and selected it for preservation in the National Film Registry in 2001.
