Why do they call it “house-hunting”? I have never come home with a house draped over my shoulder. Lame dad joke, but you know what I mean.
When you HAVE to find a new place to live, there is slim-pickings, you have to find somewhere that’ll fit your needs and budget… it’s nothing like my experience of hunting at all.
A better name for it would be house-rummaging. The act of looking at what’s left, seeing if the wife likes it and finding out it’s off-market already!
If anyone can afford their dream-home, it’s Billy Joel, the cover of his Glass Houses album would be my dream home AND an awesome place to hunt from!
