For some reason tourists keep flocking to Miami in the summer as if it’s a nice place to go. All the “locals” leave for summer, going back to where they’re originally from! Why do the leave? It rains all summer, torrential is the understatement
And why is Miami unpleasant in the summer? It’s 95 degrees, 80% humidity and rains heavily usually an hour a day. It rains torrentially til you’re ankle deep in gushing water pouring down storm drains. Then, an hour later, it’s sunny and bone dry!
It does make my evil side chuckle to see hoardes of European tourists on sidewalks holding beach bags looking completely baffled – I guess the Euro travel agents don’t tell them about the weather!
All that being said, this weekend was a particularly wet one. Miami was busy welcoming the GOAT Soccer star Lionel Messi – but Miami weather had other plans and rained on his parade!
