PATD was originally a pop rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada, created by childhood friends in high school in 2004. It gradually whittled down to the Brendon Urie solo project that it is today. Panic! at the Disco have been known to change their sound each album, although musically, they have mainly been described as pop rock, their first album was emo punk and latest album as alt rock pop.
