Airplane! (alternatively titled Flying High!) is a 1980 parody comedy movie starring Robert Hays, Julie Hagerty and the incomparable Leslie Nielsen, as well as legendary basketballer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Despite it’s (very) slapstick comic nature, Airplane is a high-rated parody of the disaster film genre, particularly the 1957 film Zero Hour! and also pulling from Airport 1975. It is known for its use of weird humor and fast-paced slapstick comedy, including visual and verbal puns, gags, running jokes, and obscure humor. I can’t describe funny, so you’ll just have to watch it. So, if you have a “drinking problem” like pilot Ted Striker then you need these Airplane T-Shirts in your life! I am serious.
