To give it’s full name Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy is another “frat pack” classic with Will Ferrell as the hysterical titular Anchor for Channel 4 News in San Diego. Anchorman is another Judd Apatow and Adam McKay movie (like Step Brothers and Talladega Nights) starring comic all-stars Ferrell, Paul Rudd, and Steve Carrell as Action News correspondents who are threatened by the presence of a female anchor, Veronica Corningstone (played by Christina Applegate) in spoof 1970’s California. With quotes galore about San Diego, Jazz flautists, Baxter the dog, Lamp loving, a certain cologne and intra-station rivalries against Vince Vaughns’ Channel 9 team, Anchorman has been voted one of the top movies of all time by TimeOut magazine and grossed over $100 million at the box office, all this before the 2013 sequel – The Legend Continues.
