MTV is no longer about music videos (I know it’s hard to imagine a world before YouTube, right?). In Gen Z language, it’s a whole vibe – a piece of pop culture that defined our childhoods. If you had a TV in the ‘90s, you know exactly what I’m talking about. Back in those days, MTV was everything! It was the taste-maker, the culture creator, the soundtrack and a discoverer of coolness. MTV t-shirts were always a fashion statement. You threw on that logo and felt like a rockstar. There was something for all seasons, that logo was always adapting with the times!
Back in 2001 MTV released an Xmas album so bad that it almost ruined Christmas! MTV: TRL Christmas was a compilation of 16 covers of Christmas songs from famous acts. The album itself “peaked” at 162 on the billboard chart, BUT it did contain three Top 10 tracks from different performers including Weezer, NSYNC and Blink-182.
Look, I had to squeeze MTV into this selection – the shirts are just too damn cool. And if you like Xmas music, stick the Xmas MTV playlist on repeat, pull your MTV Christmas tee on while you prepare for the Xmas party. Don’t deny it, these MTV Xmas tees are pretty awesome, i would honestly wear them all
