Remember I mentioned earlier this week that I was selected for jury duty?
Plot twist – The defendant pleaded guilty on day one, and the judge dismissed us. Even the judge was stunned when his lawyer called the guilty verdict.
We didn’t hear a peep of evidence, so everyone just went with “guilty.” I stayed after the dismissal to hear more about the case, tho.
I joked last week that I wanted a juicy case…and jinxed myself.
Jokes aside, it was a serious criminal case. I’m glad he pleaded guilty because what he did was f***ed up, and prison is exactly where he belongs. My heart goes out to the family.
Anyway, jury duty was over, and I’m back at work.
Last week, we were asked a serious question that got me thinking…
which one do you think is worse? An innocent person in jail or a guilty person walking free? A thinker…
